Our Vision

A socio-economically empowered Alokolum community living under secure conditions with minimum standards of community-driven environmental conservation and climate action are fully met.

Our Mission

To improve the current status of members of the communities in Alokolum by building capacities and systems to ensure that they are aware of their rights and obligations, they are socially empowered, the enjoy a status of sustainable economic stability, they are protected from all forms of insecurity and abuse, and that they live in a clean, hygienic and ecologically conserved environment.

Governance and Administrative Structure

Board of Directors of not more that 15 members, a Company Secretary and a Chief Executive, and Members by virtue of registration or appointment. At the discretion of the Board, an Accountant/Finance Manager, Company Lawyer, Office Secretary and other support staff, and Technical Officers/Advisors/Consultants for each of the thematic areas as defined above.

Featured Projects

Social Services and Welfare: facilitates the enabling environment for improved access to and utilization of health and education services, provide specialized care for the disabled and the elderly members of the community, promote leisure and recreation, while providing the space for harmonious faith-based activities as appropriate.

Livelihoods and Assets: supports small to medium scale income generating activities and the acquisition of property and assets.

Security and Protection; provides safety and security to the members of the community and their property using the community policing strategy working in collaboration with the state security organs, including the protection of the members of the community from all forms of discrimination and abuse.

Climate action and Community Conservation; promotes appropriate waste management, encourages ecological conservation, applies energy conservation approaches, and creates an enabling environment for the use of renewable energy.

Capacity Building; of the members of the communities will include training and mentorship by specialists engaged by the company as well as facilitation to external learning through scholarships, exchange programmes and other opportunities. This is a cross cutting area which will enable the members of the community to manage their projects effectively.

Behavior Change; is another cross-cutting area that underpins the success of all the other objectives. ALODI will engage SBC specialists and consultants to support behavior change across all the projects and intervention areas.
